About Lisa Freeman
I am the princple of L Freeman Marketing, LLC, marketing and communciations firm founded in 2006.
Marketing and Communications Experience
I have been working as a marketing and communications professional since 1997, designing websites, directing marketing and advertising campaigns, and developing eLearning and computer-based training programs for Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
Prior to starting my own business, I worked in book publishing for 17 years, including a seven-year stint as director of the University of Minnesota Press, where I got my first email address in 1990 when there were fewer than 250,000 internet users worldwide.
Internet Experience
I earned my dot-com merit badge as Senior Vice President of Antiques America, Inc., a venture-backed Internet start-up. I designed and supervised the creation of a massive content-and-commerce website in the field of antiques during 1999-2000.
As Founder and President of AntiqueSource, Inc., I compiled, edited, and published two editions of the Green Guide to Antiquing in New England and the Green Guide to Antiquing in the Midwest. My website, AntiqueSource.com, was one of the first antiques websites, launched in early 1997, before eBay. I merged this company with Antiques America, Inc.
Antiques Experience
Since 1994, I have co-owned and run Fiske & Freeman: Fine and Early Antiques (with my husband, John Fiske), an antiques business specializing in seventeenth-century English furniture. I handle all advertising and marketing for the firm, and designed our website (www.fiskeandfreeman.com).
